- water2 cup
- gochujang2 tbsp
- gochugaru1 tbsp
- soy sauce1 tbsp
- sugar1 tbsp
- scallions2
- sesame seeds1 tsp

Soak the rice cakes in warm water for 10 minutes if using frozen or refrigerated ones.

In a pot, combine water, gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring to a boil.

Add the drained rice cakes and simmer, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and coats the rice cakes.
