Ingredients

Instructions

Cook red lentils in water until soft and the water is absorbed. Season with turmeric, salt, and a pinch of cumin. Mash lightly.

Dice the onion finely and sauté in oil until golden. Add minced garlic and a diced green chili. Cook for 2 minutes.

Mix the sautéed aromatics into the mashed lentils. Let the filling cool slightly.

Cut spring roll wrappers into strips. Place a spoonful of filling at one end and fold into triangles. Seal edges with water.

Pan-fry the sambusas in oil over medium heat until golden and crispy on all sides. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
