Ingredients
- chickpeas(drained, liquid reserved)1 can
- tahini1/4 cup
- lemon juice3 tbsp
- garlic1 clove
- olive oil2 tbsp
- cumin1/2 tsp
- saltto taste
- paprikafor garnish
Instructions
Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic to a food processor.
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Add reserved chickpea liquid a tablespoon at a time until you reach desired consistency.
Add the cumin and salt, blend again to combine.
Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika.
Tips
For extra smooth hummus, peel the chickpeas before blending. The reserved chickpea liquid (aquafaba) helps make it creamy.
