Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour1 cup
  • salt0.25 tsp
  • warm water0.5 cup
  • coconut oil2 tbsp
  • berbere spice1 tsp
  • agave syrup1 tbsp

Instructions

Mix flour, salt, and water to form a soft dough. Knead briefly until smooth.

Roll out the dough thinly and cook on a dry hot skillet until bubbly and lightly browned on both sides.

Tear the cooked flatbread into bite-sized pieces.

In the same skillet, warm the niter kibbeh or coconut oil with berbere spice. Toss in the torn bread pieces until coated. Serve with a drizzle of agave.
