
Caprese Sandwich
Italian simplicity at its finest. Fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, basil, and balsamic glaze on crusty ciabatta.

Ingredients
- ciabatta rolls2
- fresh mozzarella8 oz
- tomatoes(ripe, sliced)2
- fresh basil1 bunch
- balsamic glaze2 tbsp
- olive oil1 tbsp
- salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
Slice the ciabatta rolls in half and lay them open on the cutting board.
Slice the fresh mozzarella into thick rounds and layer them on the bottom half of each roll.
Slice the tomatoes and layer them on top of the mozzarella.
Tear the fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the tomatoes.
Drizzle the balsamic glaze generously over the fillings.
Drizzle a little olive oil over the top, then season with salt and pepper. Close the sandwiches and serve.
Tips
Use ripe, in-season tomatoes for the best flavor. Use good quality extra virgin olive oil — it makes a difference here.
