Ingredients
- baguette(sliced)1
- tomatoes(diced)4
- garlic(minced)3 cloves
- fresh basil(chopped)1/4 cup
- olive oil3 tbsp
- balsamic vinegar1 tbsp
- salt and pepperto taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast until golden.
While bread toasts, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl.
Season the tomato mixture with salt and pepper.
Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted bread slices and serve immediately.
Tips
Use the best tomatoes you can find — vine-ripened or heirloom work great. Rub a cut garlic clove on the toast before topping for extra flavor.
